Cortez Waterfront

About Cortez

Cortez is an old fishing village that is still very active as a fishing village.  It’s just across the bay from Anna Maria Island.  This is where you’ll find the fishing boats and some excellent seafood.  One of our favorite places to buy fresh seafood to take home is the Cortez Kitchen Fish Market at 4528 119th St W., Cortez, Florida.  (941) 798-9404.  The sashimi ahi tuna is incredible.  Be sure to try to fish tacos at Tide Tables at 12507 Cortez Rd W.  It’s the little yellow building on the left just before you cross the Cortez bridge to Anna Maria Island.
